Carrier Marine & Offshore – Driving Energy Efficiency Toward Net Zero
At Carrier Marine & Offshore, we believe the path to zero emissions begins with smarter energy use. With 50,000 employees and $23B in revenue in 2024, Carrier is the world’s second-largest HVAC manufacturer, and the recognized front runner in sustainable HVAC innovation. Our purpose, “Enhancing the Lives We Live and the World We Share,” guides every solution we deliver.
Onboard cruise ships, HVAC systems are among the largest energy consumers, second only to main propulsion. That means the efficiency of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration is directly tied to a vessel’s carbon footprint. By partnering with Carrier, cruise owners and operators gain access to the most advanced HVAC equipment in the industry, designed with ultra-low Global Warming Potential refrigerants and unmatched energy performance.
Today, 32% of the world’s large cruise ships rely on Carrier. They count on our equipment for first-class air quality, reliability, and, critically, reduced energy demand. Every kilowatt saved translates into less fuel burned, lower operating costs, and measurable reductions in emissions.
